2 nights at Koru Hideaway, the escape of a lifetime!

What a dream! Just when I thought my trips couldn't get any better I discovered this place! About an hour north of Auckland sits this beautiful, huge house called Koru Hideaway. From the moment you pull into the drive you can tell its going to be magical.

We were greeted by a lovely lady named Lindsay who gave us a tour of the place. I couldn't believe we actually got to stay here, it kinda felt like a dream! I'd never been in a house so big.. EVER! The grounds were absolutely stunning, so much greenery and the views went on for miles. There were pretty flowers around every corner making everything look colourful and aesthetically pleasing. Our room had the highest ceiling, you walk in and are taken away by the wonderful decor. It had absolutely everything you could need. A big kingsize bed that I couldn't wait to jump into, a fire for those chillier nights, a beautiful designed kitchen and dining area, a shower, a hot tub, bbq area, a tv with sky, towels, robes.. the lot! Lindsay finally managed to drag us away from our gorgeous room to show us the pool. WOW. Ive never seen anything like it. The pool was just outside the main part of the house, it was round with an infinity part that overlooked a huge field and hills. An outdoor bath sits elegantly on the pool, perfect for star gazing with a bottle of bubbly. There was a gorgeous fire and bbq and kitchen area down by the pool too. A stunning wooden pergola covered in flowers and vines sat over the space, there were tables and chairs to sit and eat and a comfy sofa by the fire.

Once we had finished our tour we couldn't wait to explore and create some wonderful content. So we headed to the pool and started shooting. Three gorgeous greyhounds came to welcome us as we sat by the pool, the friendliest dogs with softest fur. If you're a dog lover like my partner and I then this will really add to the experience! The weather was great for our stay so we had plenty of time in the pool. We had burgers for dinner, sat back and enjoyed a clear night of stars from the hot tub. Afterwards we would light the big fire and snuggle up on the sofa with a movie. Perfect!

We highly enjoyed our two days of relaxation and couldn't recommend this place more.
