Winter is such a great season. I find myself constantly wanting to cozy up by the fire and have long, warm baths. Over in Okoroire, Waikato you can do just that! I discovered Teal corner on airbnb and immediately fell in love, but that's nothing compared to seeing it in real life!
The cabin was facing a beautiful river flowing through the land. It had a real rustic vibe with the craziest decor (crazy in a good way.. a REALLY good way). The deck had the most gorgeous swinging chair with comfy cushions all over it. There was a fire pit with huge tree logs to sit on. Further along they had the best wood fired outdoor tub with a view of the river, the moment you see it you just want to jump in! Inside the cabin there was a cute kitchen with everything you could need, a small little indoor fire, a cozy lounge area and A HANGING BED! Yup, you heard me, a floating bed hanging from the ceiling with chains.. how cool! The decor was honestly insane, from cow print rugs to plants hanging from a ladder on the ceiling, to hanging chain beds, I couldn't get enough! This place is somewhere that you have to experience for yourselves. No amount of pictures or blog posts can truly describe how wonderful it is. It feels like you're in a wonderland, just you, the cabin and the magical nature that surrounds you.
Start the hot tub, light a fire, grab a glass of wine and take in every detail. It was the most unbelievable winter escape and I imagine its even cooler in summer, you'd even be able to go for a swim in the river! Don't miss out on this one guys, I've been to a million and one Glamping's and this one certainly takes the top spot! Well done to the owners for creating this slice of heaven!
