The main reason I love glamping is because of the beautiful nature that surrounds you. The constant sounds you hear, like leaves rustling and birds chirping. I can say with confidence that Tui Chalet ticked this box for me.
As we pulled into the driveway and parked the car, we were greeted by the sweetest host, Heidi. She welcomed us in the most friendly way and guided us to our chalet for the night. You walk down a pathway with bush either side and fairy lights hanging all the way along the trees. You then discover Tui Chalet tucked away privately, nestled in the bush. There are no words to describe the feeling I get when seeing a new place for the first time, the excitement overwhelms me. I was right to be excited because wow this place was stunning. A lovely deck area with comfortable seating sits outside of the chalet, then you wander inside to find a cute little kitchen, a huge sofa facing a tv and fire, a gorgeous little bathroom and a big comfy bed. What more could you need right?
We made some sandwiches, watched some Netflix and went on a little walk down to a stream that's about a minute away from the chalet. The stream was like something from a fairytale, all the light shone through the trees creating magical reflections and beams. Later that evening, Heidi and her partner came to grab us as they had spotted a beautiful little baby Morepork and its mama on one of the trees! We couldn't wait to go have a look! There the owl sat, watching closely to see what we were up to as we all stood admiring its beauty. Heidi mentioned that you can see glowworms on her property when its dark and told us where to go. So we waited until nightfall and headed to see them. She was right, there were glow worms in little holes in the ground shining through like stars. What a great adventure.
The next morning we woke up to a basket of breakfast left outside our door. Warm bread, jams, fresh orange juice, eggs, yoghurt and muesli. Yum! What a wonderful way to start the day. We then lay a blanket out on the deck and sat and read for a few hours, taking in the gorgeous surroundings and listening to the sounds of nature. Could it get any more perfect?
I can honestly say this experience was a dream! If you're looking for a romantic or relaxing night away, then head to airbnb and book yourselves in for a couple of nights of peace! I would highly recommend it! I've left a link below the pictures.
